The Los Angeles Lakers struggled to be competitive without LeBron James and Luka Doncic on Friday night against the Boston Celtics.

The Lakers fell behind by 22 points in the first quarter, and despite 36 points from Austin Reaves, they put in an overall disappoint performance in the 126-105 defeat.

Reaves produced 36 points, eight assists and three rebounds before J.J. Redick emptied the lakers bench halfway through the fourth quarter.

Gabe Vincent was the only other Lakers player to score over 15 points.

Deandre Ayton was especially disappointing with just six points to go along with 10 rebounds.

The Lakers will be back in action on Sunday in Philadelphia, their last game before the NBA Cup semifinal clash with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
