In a 2023 interview with The Telegraph, Sarah shared the unusual three words of advice the Queen had given her.
That advice was to “be yourself, Sarah”.
Recalling the advice, Sarah revealed the monarch had told her: “Be yourself, Sarah. All anyone wants is for you to just be yourself.”
Sarah then told The Telegraph that being herself is something she always found difficult, saying: “It’s taken me this long to get there.”
This was not the only time Sarah spoke about the late monarch since her death in 2022. She also revealed that she feels Her Majesty’s presence through the corgis Sandy and Muick.
Speaking at a women’s forum in London, Sarah once said: “I have her dogs, I have her corgis. Every morning, they come in and go ‘woof woof’ and all that, and I’m sure it’s her talking to me.
“I’m sure it’s her, reminding me she’s still around.”
