BOYS BASKETBALL TOP 10 RANKINGS
1. DAMIEN (10-1)
The Spartans beat Baseline League foe Chino Hills, 68-56, in the semifinals of the San Dimas tournament before going on to crush Ontario Christian, 69-36, in the championship. Their deep roster is paying off.

2. PASADENA (3-1)
The Bulldogs didn’t play last week after winning three of four in the Kevin Brown Tournament of Champions. They have a major test on Wednesday at Arcadia to open the Pacific League. Chance to see Blair Transfer Timmy Anderson do his thing for the Bulldogs.

3. LA MIRADA (1-3)
For a team that wants to return to the CIF-SS Open Division, this is not a good start, even though all four opponents have been top notch. Gene Roebuck had 19 points in their lastest loss, 56-47, to Harvard-Westlake.

4. ST. FRANCIS (6-2)
The Golden Knights have won four straight, finishing with a 54-43 win over Libery from Las Vegas. Stephan Karibyan led with 13 points, and they got another big double-double from their 7-footer, Cherif Millogo, who had 12 points and 14 rebounds.

5. ARCADIA (5-1)
The Apaches will be even better when they add a few transfers after the sit-out period, but they’re also good now. Noa Eteuati Edwards dropped 23 points in a 68-66 win over Francis Parker. Mateo Ingersol and Nick Wallace Jr., have been great too. Big one against Pasadena next.

6. SAN GABRIEL ACADEMY (1-3)
The Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak to start the season with a 58-55 win over Redondo Union. SGA is as talented as anyone in the SGV and all three losses — against great teams — came by seven points or less.

7. BISHOP AMAT (9-1)
Sophomore Aiden Shaw was named MVP after they beat Pacifica Christian, 77-67, to win the San Gabriel Tournament. Freshman Omar Cox-Labomme is playing well too. The Lancers open with Charter Oak on Tuesday in the Glendora tournament.

8. LOS ALTOS (7-0)
The Conquerors won the El Rancho tournament with a 66-51 win over Los Amigos in the championship. It was a big week for coach Jeff Lucas, who earned his 500th coaching victory in their semifinal win over Wilson.

9. LA HABRA (8-2)
The Highlanders had a six-game winning streak snapped in a 53-52 loss to El Dorado. They have a tough stretch ahead, and will be tested in the Damien tournament after Christmas.

10. LA CANADA (5-1)
The Spartans have won three straight, beating Marina, 53-38, to close out an undefeated week. Their lone loss was a close 45-43 setback to Los Osos.
