On December 8 in Dubai, the fifth day of the IBA 2025 World Boxing Championships took place. The Round of 16 bouts were held in 7 weight categories, and eight Armenian boxers competed.
Baregam Harutyunyan (48 kg) defeated the representative of Thailand with a score of 4:1, Hovhannes Bachkov (67 kg) beat his opponent from Kyrgyzstan 5:0, and Artush Ovannisyan (80 kg) won a tough fight against an Australian boxer 4:1. Narek Manasyan (92 kg) also faced an Australian athlete and claimed a victory by technical knockout in the second round, while Davit Chaloyan (+92 kg) secured a confident win over his opponent from Tajikistan.
