MATT Stone Racing has confirmed the first driver signature for its reborn Dunlop Super2 Series program.
As revealed by V8 Sleuth, MSR is returning to the feeder series in 2026 utilising Triple Eight-built, Jason Gomersall-owned ZB Commodores.
One of its cars will be driven by Ayrton Hodson, who recently wrapped up his rookie campaign with Ford-aligned Anderson Motorsport.
“I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity and proud to be joining MSR,” said the Kiwi.
“MSR has a great reputation for developing young drivers, and to be part of that is something I’ve worked hard toward. I can’t wait to get started.”
Alice Buckley and Tommy Smith are also thought to be in contention for a seat and will have the chance to impress at a Queensland Raceway evaluation day next week.
“We’re very excited to be re-entering the Super2 Series,” said Matt Stone, whose eponymous outfit won the second-tier title in 2017 through Todd Hazelwood.

“Super2 has always been an important part of our identity as a team, and the plan was always to return to Super2 when the time was right.
“After a successful execution of our wildcard program in 2025 the timing is perfect to expand upon that with a return to Super2.”
MSR’s return comes at a time when several main game squads are scaling back their Super2 involvement including Triple Eight, Walkinshaw Andretti United and Erebus Motorsport.
