The Tatiara Cricket Association was dominant with bat and ball in its 50 over inter-town match against the Millicent Naracoorte Cricket Association at Lucindale on Sunday.

It was always going to be hard for the host association when it lost its openers and other top order batsmen for a paltry number of runs.

The dire situation was partly restored by solid knocks in the middle order from Nick Cane (52) and Kieren Hicks (36).

The Millicent Naracoorte tailenders scored few runs and the local association was all out for 135 in the 38th over.

Ben Hoddle took the bowling honours with 4/24.

In reply, the Tatirara association reached the target in the 25th over for the loss of only five wickets.

There were five batsmen who reached double figures and they were headed by Darcy Twigden with an unbeaten 34.

The others were Hamish Verco who was dismissed on 34 while the others were David Comer (24), Ben Hoddle (16) and Tom Moyle-Read.
