Lady Gaga fans have criticised Suncorp Stadium after missing the beginning of the US pop star’s performance due to overcrowding.

Concert-goers were stuck outside the stadium while Gaga took to the stage in Brisbane on Tuesday.

One frustrated fan, Emily Davies, shared a video to TikTok showing crowds of ticket holders struggling to get inside while the pop icon could be heard performing her 2011 hit Judas.

Fans could be seen trying to video the star as they queued to enter the standing zone in the stadium.

“Lady Gaga Brisbane was an absolute joke,” Emily remarked in the caption of the clip.

She explained she had paid $200 for standing tickets, but was forced to wait an hour in line before she could enter the moshpit.

Ms Davies said the delay meant she missed the first half of the show.

“Angry is an understatement? Who do I talk to?!” she added.

Thousands of fans were trapped outside Suncorp Stadium while the Chromatica star began her set.

It’s understood technical issues were to blame for a 40-minute delay in Gaga coming out on stage.

She was due to take to the floor at 7pm, but problems during soundcheck led to the star beginning her performance after 7.30pm.

Crowds of ticketholders were queuing up outside the stadium well after Gaga had kicked off her show.

One fan hit out at Suncorp Stadium and the event organisers on The Virtual Hangout Facebook page, claiming she was forced to queue outside for three hours before reaching the standing section after Gaga had already performed four songs.

“P*ssed is an understatement,” she wrote.

“No apologies from any of the staff… some people were waiting in lines that didn’t even exist, so they just started merging three lines of people together and some of those people had only just got to the concert grounds.”

It’s understood technical issues identified during Gaga’s soundcheck resulted in gates opening at 5.50pm instead of the scheduled 5pm.

This delay led to extensive queues on the stadium’s forecourt, but less than 15 minutes after Gaga began her set, the crowds had subsided.
