Foreign affairs commentator, Dr Keith Suter, who contributed to Seven News and Sunrise, has died aged 77.

Seven News reports he passed away in hospital.

Suter was a regular contributor to Seven’s news programs oveer several decades, providing expert analysis on global events and foreign policy matters. He was also a foreign policy analyst for SKY News.

His extensive academic credentials and international experience made him a sought-after commentator on complex geopolitical issues. He taught political science on the Sydney international campus of Boston University, USA. He was also the Director of Studies of the Australian Branch of the International Law Association, and NSW Chair of the International Commission of Jurists.

Samantha Armytage on Instagram wrote, “Very sad to hear of the passing of Dr Keith Suter overnight. He was a wonderful man.

“He guided us through many of the biggest world issues of our time—with grace and humour. You could talk to him all day, and often during breaking news, we did. RIP Dr Keith.”
