Bulldogs’ Luke Beveridge coaches his 250th AFL game

Congratulations to Luke Beveridge on reaching the 250-game milestone tonight.

The Bulldogs mentor has won 108 of his 249 games so far, including 7 of 13 in finals – and that one, rather consequential game at the MCG against the Sydney Swans on the first day of October in 2016.

He has a more than solid record against GWS, with 11 wins from 17 games taking on the Giants.

Teams are in for Bulldogs vs Giants(AFL.com.au)

As you might expect, there are no changes to the Bulldogs line-up that took care of the Bombers by 83 points last week at Docklands.

For the Giants, however, there are three enforced changes, with Josh Kelly and Jack Buckley out with calf injuries, and skipper Toby Greene suspended for his strike on Sydney’s Isaac Heeney.

Leek Aleer returns to the defence after being rested last week, while Harvey Thomas comes back into the forward line and Harry Rowston is named in the midfield for his seventh game of the year.

The subs will be Rowston for GWS and Laitham Vandermeer for the Bulldogs.

Welcome to Thursday night footy

Hello, good evening and welcome to ABC’s live online coverage of round 21 of the AFL.

We kick off the round tonight with a ripping match-up between the Western Bulldogs and GWS under the roof at Docklands.

Sparks tend to fly when these two teams meet, regardless of the circumstances — but tonight whoever wins will deliver a sizeable blow to their opposition’s finals chances.

My name is Andrew McGarry and I’m delighted to be bringing you all of tonight’s action.
