Jake Paul says he is a ‘more skilful’ boxer than Anthony Joshua and audaciously compares himself to Oleksandr Usyk 

JAKE PAUL has boldly claimed he is a more skilful boxer than Anthony Joshua.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer will take on the two-time heavyweight champion in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The rivals’ clash will be live-streamed from Miami on Netflix.

Both AJ and Paul have done plenty of talking before the fight, with the Brit claiming he will end it by knockout.

But Paul is confident of causing a massive shock and believes he can rely on his skills being better than AJ’s.

The American has shown himself to be a capable fighter with 12 wins in 13 fights, including his victory over boxing icon Mike Tyson.

However, he has one blemish on his record after losing by split decision to Tommy Fury back in February 2023.

AJ is a much different prospect to face in the ring than either the veteran or the former Love Island star.

Despite this, Paul is confident that his skills will be enough to win the fight againt AJ.

The Problem Child also claimed that he could replicate Oleksandr Usyk‘s success as the Ukranian was notably smaller than the Watford brawler.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “We have seen him when he is a little bit lighter and there is not as much thump on those punches.

“But it is his game plan whatever he wants.

“I don’t think the weight matters and is not going to make a difference.

“It is going to be the skills that win this fight and I believe my skills are better than his.

“It is a crazy thing to say but he is a very basic fighter and he has got to where he is at because of his power.

“So the skills are what are going to win this fight and we have seen that with Usyk when he fought him.

“I believe it is going to be very similar to that.”

Joshua has trained with Usyk to improve his skills ahead of the £100million bout.

Many are fearing for Paul’s safety if he is hit by an AJ punch like the ones that hurt Francis Ngannou and Wladimir Klitschko.
