When Airtree partner Craig Blair was grumbling at his inbox, frustrated by the chaos of trying to manage his contacts, his colleague Kevin Lu, sitting at a neighbouring desk, took notice.
That moment has since turned into a new venture tackling the problem head-on.
Atrium, founded by former investor Lu, his brother Gerry Lu, previously at Immutable, and data engineer Daniel Lum, is rethinking relationship management and communications. The platform is initially focused on individuals rather than enterprises.
The startup has secured $1.3 million in pre-seed funding from Airtree and TEN13, alongside a group of US and Australia-based angel investors.
