Can Andrew Tate hack it as a professional boxer? Well, we’re about to find out–sort of.

The day after Jake Paul faces Anthony Joshua in the ultimate crossover challenge, Tate will fight Chase DeMoor in the former’s pro boxing debut in Dubai in the main event of Misfits Boxing: The Fight Before Christmas card. DeMoor is defending the brand’s heavyweight title in the fight as Misfits has emerged as the premier promotion for influencer boxing.

Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

Who Is Andrew Tate?

Tate, 39 is a former four-time world champion kickboxer with a 76-9 record and over 30 knockouts in that discipline.

He later became one of the most polarizing social media personalities on the planet.

This fight is billed as Tate’s boxing debut. Promoters are framing it as a high-stakes test of whether his elite striking background translates to the influencer boxing ring. Tate has publicly said he has far more to lose reputation-wise than DeMoor.

Who Is Chase DeMoor?

DeMoor, 29 is a former reality TV personality (known from “Too Hot to Handle”) who reinvented himself as an influencer heavyweight boxer. He’s the current Misfits heavyweight champion with significantly more influencer boxing ring time than Tate.

DeMoor has approximately 14 boxing bouts with a record around 9-4-1 across pro and influencer contexts. He’s been active throughout 2024-2025 and has defended his Misfits title with recent knockout wins.

Why This Fight Is Compelling

The stylistic matchup is the draw. Tate is the elite ex-kickboxer with world-class striking fundamentals but no modern boxing résumé. DeMoor is the more experienced influencer boxer who knows the Misfits ruleset and pacing but he is technically limited compared to traditional pros.

Tate wants to clown this kind of influencer heavyweight. DeMoor wants to prove the doubters wrong against a big name.

What to Expect

Most expect Tate to be the favorite due to his kickboxing pedigree and perceived power advantage. If he adjusts well to boxing distance and pacing, analysts believe he’ll eventually hurt or stop DeMoor.

However, DeMoor’s edge in recent ring activity—multiple fights in 2025 alone—could make this messier than casual fans anticipate. All that said, it would be a massive surprise if Tate doesn’t destroy him with a destructive KO.

Overall, this is not pro boxing at its highest level. I’d expect to see far better action in Paul-Joshua and throughout that entire card on Friday.

The upcoming weekend of boxing might cause purists to vomit, but there is no questioning the eyes that the Paul-Joshua event will draw.
