BANGKOK — Olympian Aira Villegas defeated Myanmar’s bet Mya Moe Thu via unanimous decision to advance to the gold medal match of 33rd Southeast Asian Games on Wednesday afternoon at the Chulalongkorn University Sports Center. 



The Paris 2024 bronze medalist displayed her speed and precision to defeat Myanmar’s pride in the women’s 50kg semifinals. 


Villegas, became the third Filipino boxer to make it to the gold medal round, together with Jay Bryan Baricuatro and Flint Jara.
