The word from Adelaide is that England will get back a review after the DRS debacle on Wednesday.

England spoke with match referee Jeff Crowe after play, who has since agreed that a fault occurred and handed the review back to England.

It means the tourists will start Thursday with two reviews left, rather than one.

The third party in charge of providing “Snicko” to broadcasters, BBG Sports, made an operator error when Alex Carey was on 72. The operator put up the sound on the stump microphone at the bowler’s end, instead of Carey’s end, hence why the big spike appeared for his caught behind.

While Carey may still have got an edge, the wrong graphic was shown and was the reason why it was out of sync.

BBG Sports founder and head of technology Warren Brennan said the company took “full responsibility” for the error that led to Carey’s reprieve.

Cricket Australia boss Todd Greenberg is addressing the incident on SEN at the moment.

“In my view that’s not good enough. We’re asking a lot of questions of the provider,” Greenberg said.

Carey just spoke on Seven and, once again, said he hit it. “A few little cherries on the inside edge, it was a great noise wasn’t it?” Carey said. “As a wicketkeeper, I definitely would have gone up. A bit of luck is always nice, isn’t it?”
