The star midfielder has been added to the Victorian squad for next year’s AAMI AFL Origin clash.

Western Bulldogs midfielder Ed Richards has been added to the Victorian squad for next year’s AAMI AFL Origin match at Optus Stadium.
The honour comes after Richards’ breakout 2025 campaign, which saw him named All Australian for the first time and win his maiden Charles Sutton Medal.
He joins teammates Marcus Bontempelli and Sam Darcy in the 21-player squad, with Rory Lobb and Aaron Naughton named to represent Western Australia.
The remaining squad members will be announced early next year.
The 2026 AAMI AFL Origin game will be broadcast on Channel 7 and Fox, as well as 7Plus and Kayo.
The match will begin at 4:40pm AWST/7:40pm AEDT. Tickets for the AAMI AFL Origin are on sale now, for more information head to www.origin.afl
