Hull KR will face off against NRL side North Queensland Cowboys in a training session in Las Vegas next year.

The Cowboys are one of the four Australian clubs heading to the USA to launch the 2026 NRL season, alongside Newcastle Knights, St George Illawarra Dragons, and Canterbury Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, the Robins will take on Leeds Rhinos in an all-Yorkshire clash in Vegas – the second Super League game to take place stateside.

But they will face the Cowboys in an opposed training session first, with the two clubs meeting in a training session on the Wednesday before Saturday 28 February’s Allegiant Stadium showdown.

Reports have emerged from Australia stating that Willie Peters’ side will train alongside the Cowboys, with the two clubs already having a partnership.

Rovers will fly to the USA after their World Club Challenge game against Brisbane Broncos on Thursday 19 February. The Cowboys touch down in Vegas on Friday 20 February.

Speaking on Rovers’ game in Vegas, Peters said at the time of the official announcement: “I think it’s a great indication of where the club is at and how far we’ve come, on and off the field, by being one of the teams selected to represent the English game in Las Vegas.

“It’s a great opportunity for everyone involved at the club and it will be great to get the Hull KR brand out there. More importantly, we’re representing a wider audience in Super League and the game over here. We’re looking forward to representing it in the right way come 2026.”

Meanwhile, Cowboys coach Todd Payten added: “It will be a great experience for our whole club.

“Whether you are a supporter, staff member, or player going over there. The teams that have gone the last couple of years, the feedback and conversations I have had – if it is handled the right way, it can be a great experience for your club. That is the way we’re going to attack it.”
