Box Score SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2025) – David Fuchs scored a game-high 23 points to propel San Francisco to a 94–64 victory over Morgan State on Sunday night at War Memorial at The Sobrato Center, San Francisco, Calif. The win improved USF’s record to 8–5 overall and 5–1 at home, while the Bears dropped to 2–10.
OPENING TIP
• Fuchs scored 11 of his game-high 23 points in the first half to lead five Dons in double-figures. He shot 7-of-9 from the floor and went 9-for-16 from the stripe.
• Legend Smiley scored 15 points and knocked down 8-for-8 from the charity stripe. Mookie Cook had 14 points (7-7 FT). Ryan Beasley and Tyrone Riley IV chipped in 10 points apiece. Riley also had a game-high 10 rebounds.
• Morgan State’s Alfred Worrell Jr. finished with 15 points (6-8 FG) with six rebounds in 26 minutes, while Rob Lawson contributed 12 points, dished out four assists in 35 minutes.
• David Bumpass added 9 points for the Bears.
THE DIFFERENCE
• USF shot 56 percent (29-of-52) from the field and went 5-of-18 from three-point range. Morgan State shot 41 percent overall and shot 9-of-24 from deep.
• The Dons converted 69 percent (31-of-45) from the free-throw line, while Morgan State finished at 68 percent (13-of-19).
• USF held a commanding 42-22 advantage on the boards and outscored the Bears 42-24 inside the paint.
• USF held the lead for 29:33.
• Morgan State opened strong with Alfred Worrell Jr. scoring in the paint and Rob Lawson hitting a pull-up jumper to push the Bears to an early 11-4 lead. The Dons struggled from the floor, hitting only their second field goal of the half at 12:55.
• Morgan State foul trouble allowed the Dons to fight back, tying the game at 16-16 and then taking a 24-17 lead following an 8-1 run.
• David Fuchs provided a spark with an and-one dunk to extend the lead, while Ryan Beasley’s two deep 3-pointers and Mookie Cook’s transition 3-pointer helped San Francisco build a 38-26 cushion. By halftime, the Bears trailed 42-28.
• San Francisco opened the second half on an 8–0 run, capped by a pair of free throws from Fuchs to extend the lead to 48–28. A 3-pointer by Smiley pushed the advantage to 51–30 before Morgan State briefly answered with a corner three from Christian Meeks to cut the deficit to 55–33.
• USF continued to control the half on both ends of the floor, outscoring the Bears 52–36 after the break to pull away for a 94–64 victory.

The Bears will continue their West Coast swing with a matchup at San Francisco on Sunday (Dec. 22), before wrapping the trip at Loyola Marymount on Tuesday (Dec. 23).
