Australian supermodel, Megan Gale, has revealed she secretly married her partner, former AFL player Shaun Hampson, 37, in a deeply private ceremony held late last year.
The couple exchanged vows in December 2024 during an ultra-intimate celebration on Fiji’s Vomo Island, managing to keep the marriage completely secret for a full year.
The news was confirmed during a candid interview in Marie Claire Australia, where Megan explained why the low-key approach felt right for them.

“We never wanted a big, showy wedding,” she explained. “When so much of my life has been public, it was really nice to keep this just for us.”
By sharing the news only after enough time had passed, Megan said the couple felt they could enjoy the moment without outside commentary.

The guest list couldn’t have been smaller, only their mothers and their two children, River, 11, and Rosie, eight, were present at the ceremony. No extended family, no friends and no advance warning.
We told them at dinner the night before,” Megan revealed. “There was a lot of shock, but it made it even more special.”

Despite being engaged since 2017, Megan has never felt rushed to walk down the aisle.
She has previously admitted the idea of organising a traditional wedding felt overwhelming and unnecessary.
“I’ve never been a big wedding girl,” she once told the Daily Mail. “The thought of planning it all is exhausting.”
For Megan, building a family came first. She wanted her children to be old enough to understand and remember the day if they ever married.
That moment finally arrived in December 2024.

The couple have been together for 14 years and welcomed their two children before Shaun proposed.
