
London Scottish is saddened to hear the news that former player and Scotland International Richard Cramb died on Monday 22nd December 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Richard played for London Scottish during the 1980s, as part of many successful sides. In 2025 Richard was inducted into the London Scottish Hall of Fame in front of his teamates and Club supporters due to his incredible impact on the Club over the years.
Richard earned his first Scotland cap in 1987 and went on to win four caps in total including landing a drop goal against France in the Five Nations at Murrayfield in 1988.
His London Scottish, and Scotland international, teammate Gavin Hastings paid tribute to Richard: “Cramby was a very understated player and a true team man. Unquestionably, one of Rugby’s Mr Nice Guys. RIP Cramby.”
