Geelong has confirmed their final team for Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide at GMHBA Stadium
For the second consecutive week, Geelong has opted to take in an unchanged line-up as they prepare for their clash with Port Adelaide at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday afternoon.Â
The Cats have selected the same 23 players following last week’s strong performance, defeating North Melbourne by 101 points to solidify their spot in the top four.Â
From the initial squad announced on Thursday night, Jed Bews, Jhye Clark and Mitch Knevitt will be emergencies for Sunday’s game.Â
Round 21 will be Geelong’s penultimate game at GMHBA Stadium in the AFL home and away season, the Cats looking to build on their momentum with a big month awaiting heading towards September.Â
It will also be the second time that Geelong has faced Port Adelaide in 2025, the Cats prevailing in Round 10 by 76-points at Adelaide Oval on the back of a seven goal haul from Jeremy Cameron.Â
Geelong will be celebrating Member Thank You Round on Sunday afternoon, recognising the extraordinary impact of the club’s loyal members and supporters throughout the season.Â
For the second year running, Geelong will also highlight the contribution regional football clubs make to the game of Australian Football with a commemorative guernsey in Sunday’s game.Â
The guernsey design, which was first worn in last year’s Country Game against Essendon features the colours of every Cats AFL player’s junior or local club – whether Australian Rules or Gaelic Football – in a stripe around waist. In total, 36 clubs are represented on the guernseys.Â
