“Life is a Movie” heralded an exciting talk over “K-pop Demon Hunters,” which is popular worldwide regardless of nationality and age.
On the 2nd, KBS1 movie talk show “Life is a Movie” will feature pop columnist Kim Tae-hoon as a special guest to convey a three-dimensional view of the globalization of K-pop Demon Hunters (hereinafter referred to as “Kedeheon”) and K Culture, which captivated the world.
Kim Tae-hoon, along with film critic Liner, Little, and MC Lee Jae-sung, will conduct a cold-headed analysis of the global box office of K-culture content viewed through “Squid Game,” which recently wrapped up its journey with Season 3, “Night Fishing” by actor Son Seok-gu, who won the Grand Prix at a famous advertising festival, and “Kedeheon.”
Regarding K-pop idols’ first overseas-produced animation “Kedeheon,” Kim Tae-hoon praised the high completeness of the work, saying, “Kedeheon is a movie like a gift set for K-pop lovers with a composition that seems to be watching a series of music videos.”
“Korean scenes, such as Korean food such as gimbap, ramen, sundae, and rice soup, appear in movies as a form of experiencing and experiencing them from the perspective of foreigners,” Kim Tae-hoon said. “While watching the movie, it seems to be drawing a lot of responses in the form of proxy tourism as if you are going to Korea and actually experiencing cultures.”
When asked if Kedeheon, which was successful in distributing overseas OTT by overseas producers, is a Korean content, Kim Tae-hoon said, “We also need to change our thinking about culture,” raising the possibility of another “Korean Wave” that mixes cultures from around the world. Questions are raised about what the global box office of “Kedeheon” will mean from the perspective of a pop columnist.
“It was pretty good because the story was well-organized (Kedeheon),” he said, adding that few movie critics are known for their outspoken vitriol, but he made an unexpected statement (?) that made Kim Tae-hoon and other cast members wonder.
MC Lee Jae-sung said, “Isn’t it time to just accept it?Let’s say, “I don’t understand it at all.” “It’s not accepted,” he said, raising questions by saying he was holding out until the end.
The 17th episode of “Life Is a Movie” will air at 11:10 p.m. on the 2nd.
