A hidden painting by celebrated Australian artist Grace Cossington Smith saw daylight for the first time in 100 years after a Sydney auction house discovered it by pure chance.
Davidson Auctions art specialist Ian Geraghty was routinely inspecting a framed Cossington Smith drawing on paper, consigned by a client in Townsville, when he made the intriguing find.
