George Russell assumed a team leader position at Mercedes this year following the exit of Lewis Hamilton from the Brackley-based squad.
Having joined Mercedes in 2013, Hamilton won six F1 titles with the team en route to becoming the most successful driver in the sport’s history with more wins, podiums and pole positions than any other driver.
However, he called time on his tenure with Mercedes at the end of the 2024 campaign and opted to join forces with Ferrari.
The 40-year-old endured a torrid maiden season with the Italian outfit and failed to capture a single podium result all year.
Russell, meanwhile, used his experience in comparison to rookie team-mate Kimi Antonelli to attempt to fill the void left behind by Hamilton.
But do you think Russell has been a strong team leader for Mercedes?Â
