Leeds manager Daniel Farke is upset at the kick-off time given for Manchester United’s trip to Elland Road on Sunday, but Ruben Amorim must be ready to take advantage of the early excuses at play.
There’s a lot at stake on Sunday when Manchester United travel to face Leeds.
Not only is there a huge rivalry shared between the two clubs, United are hoping to get into the Premier League top four and Leeds want to avoid relegation this season.
Ruben Amorim will be demanding that his players take responsibility on a trip that promises to be hostile, in the stands at least, by getting back to winning ways following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Wolves in the Premier League.

The only way United can get back into the top four is by winning football matches. It would mark a perfect start to the new year if the Red Devils could secure three points at Elland Road.

You would be forgiven for thinking Leeds manager Daniel Farke is in high spirits ahead of this game against United on Sunday.
Leeds took a point from reigning Premier League champions Liverpool on Thursday night to stretch their unbeaten run to four matches. By their own standards, Farke’s side are in form as things stand and United must be mindful of that ahead of the game.
Following his side’s draw at Anfield, Farke expressed his anger at the 12:30 kick-off time for Sunday’s clash with United when his team played on New Year’s Day.
“I hope they can recover quickly and we’ll see probably some late decisions for Sunday, when we have the earliest possible kick-off, straight after breakfast, more or less, why ever this is after a late evening kick-off today,” Farke said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“So Man United since two days already on the sofa, whatever. We will find solutions for this fixture and at Elland Road, even if the legs will be a bit tight, we also have a chance, and we’ll go for it again on Sunday.”

This is a sign that Farke wants to get the excuses in early, especially after losing key midfielder Ethan Ampadu for the game due to suspension.
Amorim can take advantage of Farke’s excuses by getting three points at Elland Road.
Leeds last five results ahead of Man Utd clash
Leeds have drawn twice with Liverpool in the last five matches.
In the other games, Farke’s side drew 1-1 with Brentford and beat Crystal Palace 4-1.
Leeds also drew 1-1 with high-flying Sunderland a few days after Christmas.
They will be looking to cause an upset when United come to town on Sunday.
