With one week left in the regular season Myles Garrett is on the brink of history.

The Cleveland Brown pass rusher needs just one sack to break the single-season sacks record, but he was unable to get that sack last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the Browns were able to pull off the upset over their AFC North rivals, Pittsburgh kept Garrett from getting to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

That means Garrett has one more week to try and break Michael Strahan’s record, and he will attempt it against a familiar opponent. Cleveland ends its season against the Cincinnati Bengals, with quarterback Joe Burrow set to make the start in Week 18.

These two teams met all the way back in Week 1, as Garrett had two sacks in Cleveland to open the season strong. This game doesn’t have playoff implications of any kind, so those tuning in will be doing so to see if Garrett can finally make history.

The Sporting News is tracking Myles Garrett’s stats when the Browns play the Steelers on Sunday as the pass rusher pursues the single-season sacks record. Follow along for updates.

Garrett enters the Week 18 game with 22.0 sacks, just one sack away from breaking the all-time single-season record.

Last week, the Steelers held Garrett without a sack in the Browns victory, keeping the pass rusher at bay in his chase for the record. It was the first time since Oct. 12 that Garrett didn’t have at least a half sack in a game.
