The 29-year-old arrives at the Eels as Parramatta look to plug a key hole in their backline following the expected departure of Zac Lomax, whose high-profile switch to the R360 competition has now been delayed until 2028. Kelly’s versatility and experience shape him as a ready-made replacement capable of playing centre or on the edge when required.

Kelly began his NRL journey on the northern beaches with the Manly Sea Eagles before finding a long-term home on the Gold Coast. Across his time with the Titans, he became one of the club’s most reliable performers, racking up 143 appearances and 51 tries while regularly taking on leadership responsibilities during transitional seasons.

Known for his strong carries, defensive commitment and ability to finish chances close to the line, Kelly provides Parramatta with a steady presence as the club looks to balance youth with experience in 2026 and beyond.

The former Titan joins Jack de Belin and exciting young half Jonah Pezet as fresh faces in Jason Ryles’ evolving Eels roster, with Parramatta clearly targeting hardened NRL performers to support the club’s next generation.

With significant change expected across the Eels’ spine and outside backs, Kelly’s arrival gives Parramatta a dependable option as they aim to stabilise their roster and push back towards finals contention.

The Gold Coast Titans secured the services of Mawene Hiroti on a two-year deal on Friday and will be in contention to fill the role vacated by Kelly.
