Albany, NY based record label Wax Assault Records officially launched Sunday, January 4 with the announcement of two vinyl reissues.
Kicking off with German progressive thrash metal band Despair’s 1990 album, Decay of Humanity (originally released by Century Media), and Bay Area thrashers Epidemic’s 1992 record, Decameron (originally released by Metal Blade), the label is focusing on breathing new life into unsung metal classics.Â

From the Wax Assault website:
Wax Assault Records is run by people who actively collect records. Sound quality and presentation matter to us because they matter to the experience of enjoying physical media.
These are the releases we want on our own shelves and that standard drives everything we do.
