As expected, Samsung has officially rolled out One UI 8.5 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S25 series. The update is now reaching registered beta testers with firmware version ZZA3. It arrives two weeks after Beta 2, which itself landed two weeks after the initial beta release. This steady rollout cadence suggests Samsung is keeping the program tightly on schedule as it moves closer to a stable build.

Galaxy S25 gets One UI 8.5 Beta 3 with key fixes

The latest beta release for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra addresses several known bugs. The OTA file weighs over 1,262MB for the Ultra model, though the exact size may vary depending on the model and region. The update also bundles the January 2026 security patch. You can see the full changelog below.

While Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed anything, there’s some chatter that this could be the final One UI 8.5 beta release for the Galaxy S25 series. The firmware does feel stable enough, but the company is unlikely to roll out the stable version anytime soon. Even if it wraps up the beta program this month, the One UI 8.5 update may not be available globally until the Galaxy S26 launch, which is expected in late February.

As far as beta releases for other devices are concerned, there’s been little progress. It looks like Samsung won’t expand the beta program beyond the Galaxy S25 lineup (even the S25 Edge and S25 FE are not eligible). In that case, users must wait for the stable rollout, which should begin in March. We will let you know when we have more information.

In the meantime, Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra users in the USA, the UK, India, Germany, Poland, and South Korea, who enrolled their phones in Samsung’s One UI 8.5 Beta Program, can now install a new build.
