“I’m really happy with the performance today, I’m really happy with the way I played from beginning until the end,” she said.
“I have a great support behind me all the time, they were supporting me, even when it was up and down a little bit in the first set, and I’m really happy today with the first win and I’m really looking forward to see Jakub right now.

“I was trying to play my tennis, I was trying to be aggressive from the beginning and I think it was kind of working really well, and definitely it’s nice to have some matches under my belt from yesterday. So I feel a little bit better on the court again.
“I was also enjoying the crowd. It’s always nice to play Aussie at home because the support and the atmosphere that gets down here on the court is something that’s really hard to describe, so I enjoyed that very much.”
