Hollywood stars have rushed to defend iconic Aussie actress Rachel Ward after vile trolls made cruel comments about her appearance.
The 68-year-old star, best known for her roles in The Thorn Birds and Against All Odds, shared a clip from her farm in Macksville, NSW, which she runs with her husband Bryan Brown and their three children.
The wholesome clip was intended to provide an insight into life on the farm over Christmas, but many social media users took it as an opportunity to criticise the actress for ageing naturally.

On Wednesday, Rachel’s daughter Matilda shared a post hitting back at the trolls, prompting countless Hollywood stars to speak out in her defence.
“She is sincerely beautiful. For real. No qualifiers. Just a beauty. I’m sure inside and out,” Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker said.
“Still an exquisite beauty…and a great movie star,” wrote Alec Baldwin, who worked with Rachel on the 2006 film, Running With Scissors.
“Your mother is stunning!!! Always has been,” Avatar actress Zoe Saldana commented.
“She is absolutely stunning. Still,” added 21 Jump Street star Holly Robinson Peete.
“She’s so gorgeous. Luminous. Like a prism,” Charmed actress Alyssa Milano said.
“Beautiful…in every way,” echoed Viola Davis.
“Gorgeous still,” penned Wicked actress Kristin Chenoweth.
There were also plenty of Australian stars sharing their messages of support in the post’s 20,000 comments.
“Amen to REAL WOMEN. That’s me. What you see is what you get. I stand with Rachel. Nothing altered. Just me. Spreading the love,” McLeod’s Daughters star Bridie Carter said.
“Glowing inside and out…always was, always will be…a beauty,” added actor and presenter Cameron Daddo.
In a separate post, Matilda, 39, revealed her mum’s brilliant response to the negative comments, confirming she is “completely unscathed” by the criticism.
“Thank you for the very kind comments and messages about my last reel. I’m unable to reply to all of them as there are thousands and thousands,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
“But I want you to know, my mum is completely unscathed by the comments.
“She has incredible self worth and her response when reading through them was to laugh and say ‘how funny, I thought I looked great!’ As it should have been.”
As well as Matilda, Rachel and Bryan have two more children: Rosie, 42, and Joe, 34.
They have been married since 1983 after falling in love on the set of The Thorn Birds.
