Toulon and Munster meet in a Champions Cup Pool 2 matchup that brings together familiarity, contrast and a chance to reset direction.

The sides last faced each other in January 2024, with Munster claiming a 29-18 win and extending its streak to two straight victories over Toulon. 

Since then, both clubs have experienced uneven stretches. 

Munster enters having won two of its last five matches, most recently falling 28-3 to Ulster in URC play. In Europe, Munster opened with a heavy loss to Bath, before responding with a controlled 31-3 win over Gloucester in Round 2.

Toulon’s recent form mirrors that inconsistency. 

Toulon was shut out 66-0 by Stade Rochelais in Top 14 action last week but showed resilience in the Champions Cup, rebounding from an opening loss to Edinburgh with a 45-34 win over Bath.
