In a move that broadens its global footprint and delivers more top-tier golf to fans, LIV Golf and TNT Sports have agreed to a multi-year broadcast agreement that will bring exclusive coverage of the LIV Golf League to viewers across the United Kingdom and Ireland starting with the 2026 season. The announcement, confirmed January 8, marks a significant expansion of the league’s international media presence and underscores TNT Sports’ ambition to diversify its sports portfolio with high-profile golf content.

Under the terms of the deal, all events of the 2026 LIV Golf League season will be shown live on TNT Sports channels and streamed on discovery+, offering comprehensive coverage of the increasingly global league. The season gets underway February 4-7 at the ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh event, famously played under the lights, with subsequent events spanning five continents and including the league’s first-ever stop in South Africa in March.

“Our new partnership with TNT Sports represents a historic moment for LIV Golf as we cement our footprint in one of the most important and influential sports territories in the world. TNT Sports delivers sport with intensity, ambition, and scale – qualities that match LIV Golf,” Örjan Olsson, SVP, International Media Rights at LIV Golf, said.

“Together, we’re bringing fans in the UK a reimagined golf experience with sharper storytelling, deeper narratives across our League, Teams and players, and unprecedented access to our biggest stars and teams. We’re looking forward to setting a new benchmark with TNT Sports for how golf is presented, experienced, and enjoyed by millions of fans.”

What the Deal Means for LIV Golf’s UK and Ireland Presence

For LIV Golf, the Saudi-backed breakaway league that has reshaped professional golf’s media landscape, this agreement is a strategic step into one of the most influential sports markets in the world. TNT Sports, which already broadcasts a broad range of major sporting properties including Premier League soccer, UEFA competitions, UFC and MotoGP, now adds an elite golf product that expands its year-round offerings.

The collaboration also represents TNT Sports’ first live golf broadcasting rights deal, a noteworthy addition given the traditional dominance of broadcasters like Sky Sports and BBC in the UK golf market. Analysts see this as a push by the network to capture a broader slice of the golf audience and offer subscribers more variety within its premium live sports lineup.

LIV Golf’s unique blend of team- and individual-style competition and its roster of high-profile players–including stars like Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson–are expected to draw both existing golf enthusiasts and new viewers intrigued by the league’s entertainment-focused presentation.

“Showcasing some of the world’s best male golfers playing on LIV Golf is a positive addition to TNT Sports’ portfolio of premium live sport, further placing our channels and platforms as a leading destination for all the sports you love. It also allows us to further reward our existing base of fans by bringing them huge golf events throughout the year as part of their subscription,” Scott Young, Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe said.

“LIV Golf has an incredible energy and a host of world-class players and we’re excited to bring TNT Sports’ storytelling and production know-how to help bring competitions to even more sports fans. With iconic venues, top players and a compelling newly refreshed format, this partnership allows us to bring fans even more of the stories and action than ever before.”

Expanded Calendar and 2026 Season Coverage

Beginning with the Riyadh opener, LIV Golf’s 2026 season will feature 14 events across ten countries and five continents, a global schedule that includes stops in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, the United States, Spain and Great Britain. This ambitious itinerary highlights the league’s commitment to international exposure and competitive diversity.

From 2026 onward, LIV Golf events will be contested over four days and 72 holes, aligning more with traditional professional golf formats while preserving the league’s signature features. With 57 elite players competing across 13 teams plus wild card entrants, the season promises a rich narrative arc that TNT Sports plans to bring to life with on-site presentation and storytelling.

TNT Sports executives have emphasized that the broadcaster will deliver extensive coverage throughout the season, highlighting key moments, rivalries and personalities to resonate with UK and Irish audiences. Further scheduling and coverage plans are expected to be released in the coming weeks as the launch nears.
