THE Blanchard Racing Team is set to add another win to its impressive Supercars off-season.

Having already landed James Golding to replace the retiring James Courtney, plus securing Bathurst 1000 winner Richie Stanaway as his co-driver, V8 Sleuth sources have indicated race-winning engineer Tony Woodward is now likely bound for BRT.

Woodward has spent the past 11 seasons at Brad Jones Racing, including the past four as André Heimgartner’s race engineer (in which time they’ve achieved a race win and a further 11 podiums together).

Woodward had previously guided Tim Slade and Todd Hazelwood at BJR.

It’s not entirely clear whether he would slot into BRT as a race engineer or in an overarching capacity.

BRT has yet to officially confirm Woodward’s appointment; the team has been contacted for comment by V8 Sleuth.

The two-car squad is coming off a strong finish to the 2025 season behind a working unit involving team manager Kate Harrington, crew chief Dennis Huijser, race engineers Daniel Veronese and Chris Fitzgerald, and technical advisor Mike Henry.

BRT is expected to establish a technical alliance with new-for-2026 Ford homologation team Triple Eight.

BJR meanwhile is downscaling from four main game cars to three in the wake of SCT’s defection to Triple Eight.
