In a regular-season NHL game against the Vancouver Canucks, which ended in a 5-1 victory for the Detroit Red Wings, forward Patrick Kane recorded a two-goal performance.
This achievement allowed the 37-year-old American hockey player to reach the milestone of 500 goals scored over the course of his league career. He became the 50th player in NHL history to hit this mark.
Before joining Detroit, Kane played for the New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks, where he won the Stanley Cup three times with the Hawks.
In the current 2025-26 season, the forward has appeared in 30 games, recording 26 points (8 goals and 18 assists).
