Carrie posted an update to her Instagram story on Friday, writing: “Update on the noise complaint issue we had about Mabel crying at Hard Rock: we did go to the front desk the following day and explained that the security guard had come to our room to give us what he called a ‘first warning’. The woman we spoke to immediately went and got a manager because she said if noise complaints ever come through about kids crying, they ignore them because it’s not something within anyone’s control and the last thing the parents need is someone knocking on the door when they’re obviously going to be aware and doing what they can.

“I HATE fuss or complaining about anything. A waiter at a restaurant could punch me in the face and I would still tip and say thank you. So the fact the manager came out to speak to us… wanted the ground to swallow me up. She offered us a free meal and even though that was incredibly kind we didn’t accept because it absolutely wasn’t about that. We just wanted them to know that we totally understand how annoying any noise is in the early hours of the morning but the words of ‘a first warning’ made it sound like we’d be kicked out if we couldn’t stop her crying ASAP. And a family resort should absolutely not make parents feel like they can’t bring their kids who are going to be kids and sometimes make noise!”

In a separate post, she added: “Aside from that, we had a good time at Hard Rock. We didn’t get to experience much of it because we were only staying two nights and we were out all day at the parks but the rooms were comfortable and the theming was fun. It was just a wobbly start with a jetlagged toddler!”
