New signings across the TPIL Lawyers QAFL and Bond University QAFLW continue to roll in, with several clubs announcing their newest recruits.
Aspley continues to grow their sides welcoming Jess Day, who has represented Queensland and the Brisbane Lions Academy and has also received All-Australian honours.
Another Hornet to join the nest is Ebonie Agostini from Longford, Tasmania. A Best and Fairest winner as well as Tasmanian state representative, Ebonie’s skills as well as leadership ability will be an excellent addition to the club.
Patrick Coffey also joins the Hornets after making the move from Alice Springs and will bring his energy to the Aspley backline.
Martin Antiko will also join the Aspley side, hailing from PNG and captaining the University Tigers and guiding them to premiership success.Â
Another new recruit is Jake Whitty from Mt Burr FC in the Mid Southeast Football League where he made his mark as versatile and tough midfielder.Â
Lauren Middleton also joins the side having been part of the University of Queensland’s recent premiership dynasty. She is a previous Brisbane Lions Academy member who brings plenty of footy smarts to the field.
The Bond University Bullsharks welcome Jack Prestegar, a QAFL Premiership player with Surfers Paradise in 2019, a Best and Fairest winner, past captain of the Demons and has represented Queensland in the state team.
Tom Strauch joins the Cats from Golden Square in Bendigo, being a premiership player and two-time BFNL interleague representative with Golden Square.
Sam Morris and Mitch Carroll also join the Broadbeach side from South Australia, as 2022 SANFL premiership players with Norwood Football Club.Â
Jasmine Single also joins the Cats from Perth Football Club and Bond University in the QAFLW, previously progressing through the SUNS Academy.
Riley Perrett joins the Cats’ QAFLW side as Jordan Doherty joins the QAFL team, having represented Vic Country at the U18 National Championships and featured in the Coates League with the Dandenong Stingrays. Most recently, he played for Sorrento in the MPFNL.
Coorparoo welcome a junior player back to the Kings’ side with Callum Ferguson stepping into QAFL footy, as well as Ty Bethune from the Hermit Park Tigers in Townsville, Max Dillon from Alexandra Hills, and Grace Osbourne who spent a year with Wilston Grange and represented the Queensland state side.Â
More new Kings include Ben Morison, a Yeronga junior, and Morningside and St Laurence’s player, Georgia Wyett from Kew in the VAFA, Dakota Villiva also from Kew and having received Best and Fairest honours in 2022 and 2024, Josh Altus from Keith in South Australia, and Oscar Collins who captained the St Laurence’s side to their AFLQ Schools Cup 2025 state title win last year.
They are accompanied by another St Laurence’s First XVIII player, Lewis Caust who joins the Castle, Henry Edwards also from St Laurence’s, and Ethan Taylor who came through St Joseph’s and Geelong West in AFL Barwon.Â
Labrador have signed Jordan Hayden who previously played for the Aspley Hornets, Harry Law who previously played for the club in 2023-24, and Shaye Walsh who spent the last three years with Meeniyan Dumbalk United in the Mid Gippsland FNL and is fresh off winning MDU’s 2025 Best and Fairest and earning himself a spot in the MGFNL Team of the Year.
Joining them in the yellow and black is Jake Goldsmith who returns to the club, Lachlan Rhook, a triple premiership players with Koroit, making the AFL Cairns Team of the year before gaining VFL experience with Southport, Tom Foon who has playing and coaching experience, as well as Ely Blizzard from Ulverstone in Tasmania’s NWFL.
Maroochydore welcome Cameron Simpson from Victoria, Lachie O’Keefe from Sebastopol Football Club in the Ballarat League, Hugo Papst also from Sebastopol FC, and Joel Docking from the Cairns Saints.Â
Moreton Bay have recruited a Moreton Bay junior to their senior side in Aliyah Cushing.Â
Noosa continue to be busy recruiting in the off-season. They welcome Caylan La Porta from Alice Springs, Thomas Wheelen from Glenelg, James Tsitas former Gold Coast SUNS AFL player and ex SUNS VFL captain.Â
Palm Beach Currumbin welcome Liam Wisdom from Glenelg in the SANFL and Josh Pickess from Hoppers Crossing with previous VFL experience at Williamstown.Â
Sherwood welcome some of their Colts their senior side this year including Alex Peacock, Elijah Kim, Sam Tully and Jed Bostock, the 2025 Colts Captain. Joining them is the young talent in Jack Harrison, Michael Romelo, Reece Thompson, and Ethan Duke.Â
Another soon-to-be Magpie is Jack Deale who comes from the Southern Districts in the NTFL.Â
Surfers Paradise welcome Dave Swallow, a Gold Coast SUNS icon and former skipper who retired last year from the AFL.Â
They also welcome Josh Minogue who has played for Heidelberg in the NFNL and North Albury in the OMFNL.
At Wilston Grange, Deontae Sheppard-Greenoff has signed on as a new Gorilla being Cairns’ Leading Goalkicker last year, and Zimmorlei Farquharson who was drafted to the Brisbane Lions AFLW side in 2020 and has spent the last few years with the Western Bulldogs.Â
Matt White from North Cairns also joins the Gorillas this year as well as Mark Horne from Trinity Beach Centrals in Cairns.Â
