LSU redshirt junior center Braelin Moore decided to return to school instead of entering the NFL draft, the school announced Sunday.

Moore started 12 games for LSU this past season, only missing the regular season finale because of a foot injury. He received SEC offensive lineman of the week honors after LSU’s season-opening win against Clemson, and after suffering an ankle sprain a week later, quickly returned to play in almost every game.

LSU has to rebuild its offensive line after nine offensive linemen entered the transfer portal. LSU has four others who can return next season, and only one of them, redshirt freshman offensive tackle Weston Davis, started games this year. Davis played in 12 games with 10 starts.

Besides Moore, LSU has also added three offensive linemen from the transfer portal, signing Tennessee transfer William Satterwhite, junior college transfer JaKolby Jones and North Carolina Central transfer Ja’Quan Sprinkle.

The turnover was expected after LSU’s offensive line struggled throughout the year. LSU hired new coach Lane Kiffin, and he did not retain offensive line coach Brad Davis, replacing him with Eric Wolford. A longtime SEC assistant, Wolford has coached at South Carolina, Alabama and Kentucky in the past nine years. He was most recently at Kentucky.
