The golf world is still reacting to the news that Brooks Koepka is returning to the PGA Tour, but could his longtime rival, Bryson DeChambeau, be following as well?
DeChambeau is one of three other LIV stars – including Aussie Cam Smith – who could accept the PGA Tour’s one-time offer and return without a suspension (Koepka made a $US5 million donation as a fine and forfeited some future equity in the PGA Tour to make the deal happen) and his contract with the Saudi-backed league runs out at the end of 2026. So what did he do the day after the big Brooks news?

“What would you do?” DeChambeau asked while posing near an EXIT sign. Golf’s Content King is a social media engagement master, but this is also showing some savvy business sense.
Bryson already had LIV in a tough spot with his contract negotiations based on his rising popularity, but with Brooks leaving, the two-time US Open champ has even more leverage. And he certainly knows it.
For what it’s worth, Bovada released odds of DeChambeau returning to the PGA Tour in 2026 at +185 (so about 2-to-1 odds). The sportsbook had Jon Rahm at +475 and Cam Smith at +750, but none of those players taking the deal as a big -325 favourite.
Anyway, Bryson has some thinking – and negotiating – to do before the PGA Tour’s February 2 deadline. Clock’s ticking!
