2026 is already well under way and Meghan Markle is no doubt in a ‘new year’ mindset, like many of us are. However, compared to last year, the Duchess of Sussex has been very quiet online.
This could be because she is waiting to make “a big announcement”, a brand and culture expert Nick Ede has said.
Mr Ede told The Express: “Meghan not posting at all this year is probably because she is using her As Ever brand and its social media to announce new products and she doesn’t want to distract from that.
“She is probably taking a while to regroup and update on personal things as the year progresses. I think her focus is on As Ever as it begins to expand its offering in 2026.
“Meghan’s social media strategy has never been particularly consistent and she is probably waiting for a big announcement of hers to drop soon to reignite her page.”
Meghan’s personal Instagram account has over four million followers. Since she set it up last year, she has given fans a big insight into her life in Montecito, California, with husband Prince Harry and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
This includes the release of new photographs and videos to mark birthdays and special occasions.
She has also used her personal Instagram account to celebrate her business ventures and projects, including her As Ever brand, which has its own Instagram account, and her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan”.
