“We welcome the decision to remove BCB director Mr. Najmul Islam from the Finance Committee,” Mithun said. “However, we have clearly informed the BCB that we want a written assurance regarding this decision. The BCB has initiated a formal process in this regard, which will take some time. We want to give them that time, but we also expect that the process will continue and reach its conclusion.
