With the insane first day collections, Saiyaara emerged as the biggest opener for a debutant pair (Ahaan & Aneet), beating 1995’s Barsaat featuring Bobby Deol-Twinkle Khanna (Rs 0.68 crore), 2000’s Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai starring Hrithik Roshan & Ameesha Patel (Rs 0.51 crore), Abhishek Bachchan-Kareena Kapoor’s Refugee, which also released in 2000 (Rs 1.56 crore), 2007’s Saawariya, which starred Ranbir Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor (Rs 3 crore), Tiger Shroff & Kriti Sanon’s 2014 hit Heropanti (Rs 6.63 crore), Sooraj Pancholi-Athiya Shetty’s 2015’s flick Hero (Rs 6.85 crore), & 2016’s romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam featuring Harshvardhan Rane & Mawra Hocane (Rs 1.25 crore).

Saiyaara has also become the fourth biggest opener of the year after Chhaava (Rs 33.10 crore), Sikandar (Rs 27.50 crore) & Housefull 5 (Rs 24.35 crore). It has surpassed the business of movies like Raid 2 & Sky Force to achieve this feat.
With the positive word of mouth and insane response from the audience, Saiyaara is expected to witness solid growth on Saturday and Sunday and has the potential to cross the Rs 70 crore mark in its first weekend.
