Police are investigating the deaths of a couple at a home in Bordertown, in South Australia’s south-east.

SA Police say officers found a 47-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman dead during a welfare check at a house in the town about 11pm on Sunday.

They said the pair were in a domestic relationship.

Limestone Coast detectives, SA Police’s Forensic Response Section and the Major Crime Investigation Branch all attended the scene.

In a statement, SA Police said: “The investigation is in its early stages, but police are not seeking any suspects in relation to this matter.”

Police will now prepare a report for the state coroner.

Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at crimestopperssa.com.au.

About 3,000 people live in Bordertown, which lies on the Dukes Highway, about 16 kilometres west of the Victorian border.
