Manchester United fans could not help but single out one Ruben Amorim player who put in “another quality display” after the pre-season match against Everton.

The Red Devils came out on top in the Premier League Summer Series after picking up two wins and one draw in their three-match summer tour of the United States.

Ruben Amorim and his men finished top of the Premier League Summer Series, with Manchester United only one point clear of second-place West Ham in the table.

The Red Devils were in action on Sunday evening at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with United facing Everton in their Premier League Summer Series tie in Atlanta.

Amorim’s men were involved in an entertaining match in Georgia and United and Everton played out a 2-2 draw in the Red Devils’ final match in the US this summer.

United have only one match remaining in their pre-season campaign ahead of the start of the 2025-26 Premier League season at Old Trafford under Amorim.

Mason Mount climbed off the bench in the second half and replaced Luke Shaw before he had a major impact for Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.

Bruno Fernandes picked out the 26-year-old United No 7 inside the box and Mason Mount whipped a stunning strike past a helpless Jordan Pickford in the 69th minute.

United fans took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and praised the “unbelievable” Mount for his lively overall display against Everton in his cameo.

One Red Devils supporter admitted that they felt Mount was “completely written” off, while another United fan suggested that a “prime” version of him is “scary.”

“This is the Mason Mount I want to see in the Premier League, in that No 7 jersey,” an X user commented.

Another United supporter predicted: “Mason Mount will prove all the doubters wrong next season.”

Somebody else added: “Let’s talk about Mason Mount once again. Coming on to put in another quality display tonight. I give credit to him.”

“Mason Mount had [a] great pre-season, let’s hope this form continues,” a fourth Red Devils fan said.

While a fifth suggested: “Mason Mount is an unbelievable rotation option when he’s on it; that goal was ridiculous.”

“S/O to Mason Mount, though, I’ve completely written him off, but I’ve been impressed with him in the last two games,” another commented.

And a seventh tweeted: “Just our luck when we buy [two] number 10s [and] Mason Mount remembers he’s a baller.”

An eighth simply argued: “Prime Mason Mount is scary. And we all know it.”

The stage is now set for Mason Mount to prove his full potential under Ruben Amorim at Man Utd

Mason Mount’s spell at United has been marred with injuries since the England international arrived at Old Trafford from Premier League side Chelsea in 2023.

The former Blues star has been unable to replicate his scintillating Chelsea form at the Red Devils on a consistent basis, but Mount has shown bursts of his quality.

Amorim is a big fan of United star Mount and the 40-year-old former Sporting CP manager has kept the Three Lions attacker as part of his plans at Old Trafford.

It is now time for Mount to finally show why only injuries have held back his true potential and send a statement of intent with his run of form in the new season.
