While our neighbours have hosted the Manly Sea Eagles and Canterbury Bulldogs for pre-season NRL training in 2026, Orange is betting its airport will prove a juicy carrot with the potential to bring the world’s best to the Central West, with councillor Steven Peterson declaring the transport war officially open: “If you want to go to Mudgee you’ve got to go on a bus. You can fly here (to Orange).”
