Sana’a Lunon ’29, Gemma Ogoke ’29, Josephine Mignone ’28, and Madelyn Hubbell ’29 will represent the program at the USA U20 Women’s National Team Winter Camp, working with Coach Catie Benson as the next Women’s Rugby World Cup cycle gets underway.

The camp aims to identify and cultivate the next generation of Eagles while preparing athletes for possible age-grade international competition in Stellenbosch, South Africa, later this summer. Coaches will assess players across physical, technical, and tactical areas, along with work rate, cohesion, and readiness for progression within the national team pathway.

Athletes who impress at the camp may earn selection for the USA U20 Tour to South Africa in July, where the squad will take on the South Africa U20s in two matches. The tour serves as a key developmental step for players looking to make an impact in the buildup to the 2029 and 2033 Women’s Rugby World Cups.

Ogoke and Lunon were the top two try scorers of the Harvard Women’s Rugby 15s season. Ogoke also had the most tackles and most turnovers, and the second most carries on the team. Hubbell had the fifth most tackles of the team this 15s season. Mignone and Lunon tied for the most linebreaks on the team this 15s season. Lunon also boasted a 95% tackle success rate and Ogoke boasted a 91% tackle success rate.Â
