Ashley Tisdale set off a firestorm when she penned an essay about quitting a “toxic” mom group that left the 40-year-old feeling like she was back in high school.
As internet sleuths quickly unearthed pics of the former Disney star with fellow moms including Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore, Hilary’s husband clapped back with a snarky post and Meghan, 32, posted on TikTok, “I swear I’m innocent.” (Ashley’s rep called speculation about the members of the group “false.”)

Now Mandy seems to have entered the chat. On the Jan. 14 episode of the Conversations With Cam podcast, the 41-year-old opened up about her relationships with fellow moms. “I have found that the people I’m closest with in my life… have kids the same age,” she offered, saying that those with older or younger kids “wouldn’t be the first people I would reach out to right now.” Though Ashley’s kids are roughly the same age as both Mandy’s and Hilary’s, the This Is Us alum and the Lizzie McGuire vet surely have a deeper bond: Hilary, 38, opened her house to Mandy and her family when their house was destroyed during the devastating Palisades fire last year.
