TEVITA PANGAI JUNIOR is reportedly set for a stunning return to Super League, barely a month after quitting the 13-man code for rugby union.

French publication, L’Independant, has reported that the 29-year-old is set to sign for either Hull FC or Hull KR ahead of the 2026 Super League campaign.

The former Tongan league international initially agreed a switch from Catalans Dragons to Warrington Wolves for next season in July, but told Warrington last month he would not be joining as planned.

Instead Pangai Junior temporarily linked up with SC Leucate, who play in the French sixth tier of the 15-a-side code and are based around 20 miles north of Perpignan.

A return to Super League, however, is now on the cards in a surprising twist of fate.
