Tennis Australia boss Craig Tiley’s radical vision for the Australian Open of the future has no chair umpires or other officials on court, more Hollywood star power and seating pods with food and drink delivered by drones that could sell for $20,000 a ticket.

The veteran administrator told a meeting of major Open sponsors on Wednesday that Naomi Osaka‘s dramatic – and global buzz-generating – entrance to this year’s event was just the start of a multi-year plan that could revolutionise the event – and outrage some of tennis’ more conservative patrons.
