EXCLUSIVE: Filmmaker Francis Galluppi (The Last Stop in Yuma County) has assembled cast for his Evil Dead movie, following up this year’s Evil Dead Burn, on which we first reported in April 2024. The ensemble includes Charlotte Hope (The Nun), Jessica McNamee (Mortal Kombat franchise), Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), Josh Helman (Mad Max: Fury Road), Ella Newton (Dangerous Animals), Australian newcomer Ella Oliphant, and Elizabeth Cullen (Goolagong).

Currently untitled, this Evil Dead‘s logline is being kept under wraps, as the last one was. Galluppi will direct from his own script, with New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures co-financing, on the heels of Evil Dead Burn and the breakout success of Evil Dead Rise, the installment from Lee Cronin which grossed $147 million worldwide.

Longtime franchise producer Rob Tapert is producing alongside series creator Sam Raimi, with Romel Adam, Jose Cañas, and Lee Cronin exec producing alongside Bruce Campbell, who has played Ash in various projects across the horror franchise.

New Line Cinema will distribute the untitled Evil Dead domestically through Warner Bros. Pictures, with Sony distributing internationally, StudioCanal distributing in the UK, and Metropolitan Filmexport distributing in France. Word of the untitled Evil Dead‘s cast comes months out from the July 24 release of Evil Dead Burn, the sixth installment in the series, directed by Infested‘s Sébastien Vaniček. We were also first to report on that one.
