The McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team and Lando Norris came away successful from the prestigious Autosport Awards, hosted on 21 January in London.
The McLaren team were awarded with the Team of the Year Award for the success in the Constructors’ World Championship, clinched with a quarter of the season to go, and securing the Drivers’ World Championship, as voted by the fans.
The team’s MCL39 was crowned Competition Car of the Year in the fan vote, celebrating the incredible successful car created and run by the team, which secured more than half of the Grand Prix victories in 2025 alongside the double Championship.
Ahead of the awards, it was confirmed that Lando Norris would be given the inaugural Autosport Champion award. This celebrates his rise from winning the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award back in 2016 to becoming Drivers’ World Champion in 2025.
In addition to this accolade, Lando also won British Competition Driver of the Year, signifying his achievements in the 2025 F1 season with his maiden Championship win, alongside his contribution to McLaren’s Constructors’ World Championship title, voted for by the fans.
The team was represented at the award ceremony by driver Lando Norris, Team Principal Andrea Stella, Technical Directors Mark Temple, Peter Prodromou and Neil Houldey, Chief Designer Rob Marshall and other members of the team’s leadership.
